Nostalgia has always been a potent force in British music; but the emotions it inspires can look forward as well as back. In this programme, James MacMillan takes up where Elgar left off with Seven Angels (world premiere), a superb new oratorio based on the Last Judgment, while the world premiere of Since we parted by Roxanna Panufnik, and much-loved favourites by Parry evoke a century of great music.
