Coppélia - The Magic Doll | The Chelmsford Ballet Company

When Dr. Coppélius leaves his treasured, lovingly created, life-size doll Coppélia in his shop window she soon causes a stir; particularly in the heart of young lover Franz and the jealous mind of his real-life fiancée, Swanilda.

Franz thinks that Dr Coppelius’s creation is real and flirts with her. Swanilda also mistakes the doll for a walking, talking rival and comic chaos ensues.
