Oxford Proms - Mozart's Clarinet Concerto with Michael Collins

Following his spellbinding performance of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto at last year's BBC Proms, music lovers can hear Michael Collins perform this masterwork live in Oxford. Collins is the most prolific woodwind soloist for the BBC Proms and needs no introduction. The intimate surroundings of the historic Sheldonian Theatre, designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1664, are ideal for Michael Collins special talents at connecting with the audience. He is also giving a recital with pianist Michael McHale on Wednesday 7th August in the Sheldonian.

The programme also includes Arvo Pärt's moving tribute 'Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten' for Strings and Bell, an atmospheric prolation canon, and Haydn's final Symphony, No 104 in D major 'London'.
