Vivaldi & the Venetian Influence is a superb and exciting exploration of the music of the greatest of all Venetian masters of the baroque. Dazzling virtuosity mixes with sublime slow movements in an atmospheric evocation of the most beautiful city on earth and its profound influence on music.

The programme includes trio sonatas by Vivaldi and his illustrious Venetian contemporary Baldassare Galuppi, contrasted with one of Vivaldi's sublime sonatas for cello and music influenced by Vivaldi composed by the elegant Dilettante de Musica Benedetto Marcello.
