A very special concert to start the 2013 series in the new Colyer-Fergusson Hall. A celebration of emotive and very English music, from Purcell & Handel through Finzi, Vaughan Williams, to the modern era with John Harle’s evocative and haunting Silencium; to be perfomed by John Harle and sung by Felicity Lott.

A wonderful opportunity to hear the beautiful voice of international soprano Dame Felicity Lott. She has worked with nearly all the major orchestras under conductors such as Carlos Kleiber, Georg Solti, Bernard Haitink, James Levine, Andre Previn, Neeme Järvi, Klaus Tennstedt, Andrew Davis, Kurt Masur, Franz Welser-Möst, to name but a few. We are honoured that she will be performing with the Festival Chamber Orchestra to sing a programme of wonderful English Music.
