We are delighted to invite you to join us at Cadogan Hall for our concert on the 21st September, at 7.30pm, conducted by our artistic director Thomas Carroll, and featuring Tasmin Little playing the Brahms spectacular Violin Concerto. Tasmin, who was recently announced on the Queen's birthday honours list to receive an OBE for her services to music, has been described by the Independent as 'Britain's finest violinist', and by the New York Times as 'a formidable soloist'. Recently, her upcoming ‘Wallace & Gromit’ Prom performance at the Royal Albert Hall on July 29th sold out within an hour, and before joining us in September, her schedule includes a further Proms performance with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, to be broadcast live on BBC radio 3 and tours in both the USA and Australia!

Also featuring in the programme for the evening is 'The Shard'; Stephen Goss's exciting and imaginative musical response to the construction of the Shard at London Bridge, which is the tallest building in the European Union.

The Orpheus Sinfonia ends the evening in style with Beethoven's fifth, which should need no introduction! But if it did, Goethe sums it up quite well: "if all the musicians in the world played this piece simultaneously, the planet would go off its axis".
