  2. Excerpts, from The Pirates of Penzance (or The Slave of Duty) - Gilbert and Sullivan

A talented tenor, Edward Hughes, will sing excerpts from Handel’s Messiah, followed by pieces from Handel’s opera and oratorio arias. After the interval we will be treated to arias from Mendelssohn, Mozart and Donizetti, an organ amusement and finally a piece from the Pirates of Penzance! He will be accompanied on the organ by Ian Tindale. Edward has sung at the Edinburgh Festival and at the Royal Opera House as well as other prestigious venues and we are expecting a most exciting and enchanting evening.
