St Bartholomew's 150th Aniversary Celebrations: Alyona Abramova and Duncan Rock

It is testament to the cultural significance of this extraordinary building that we welcome such esteemed friends to join us in marking this milestone. For a century and a half, these towering walls have resonated with musical declarations of praise. Continuing to this day, St Bartholomew’s remains a bastion of sacred music in the region. Countless pilgrims are moved by the beauty of this place - most visibly as song and sound ring around Scott’s great vault. We rejoice in our heritage, and look forward to celebrating this living tradition over the coming months.

For the first concert in the series, we welcome Alyona Abramova and Duncan Rock to perform works by Mozart, Gounod, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, and Britten.
