  1. String Quartet No 16 in E flat K 428 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  2. String Quartet No 66 in G, 'Lobkowitz' Op 77 No 1 - (Franz) Joseph Haydn

One of the world's leading period instrument string quartets, The London Haydn Quartet was born out of a passion for Haydn. The group has recently released the final volume of its complete Haydn quartets on the Hyperion label, a project 16 years in the making, which has been met with international critical acclaim. This programme, which features Mozart’s String Quartet in E flat K428 and Haydn’s String Quartet in G Op 77 No 1, reflects a musical ‘conversation’ between Mozart and Haydn, and the players will illustrate how each composer clearly inspired the other.
