Our October concert features the up-and-coming mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean and pianist Cristian Sandrin, who join forces for a selection of French song. Lotte is one of the most innovative young singers in the UK, with a special affinity to new music, whilst her recent album with Stuart MacRae was July’s Editor’s pick from Presto Classical. Her powerful yet lyrical and diaphanous voice bonds superbly with the songs of French composers. Together with our Artistic Co-Director, she will perform a revelatory programme of songs by Pauline Viardot, Germaine Tailleferre, George Enescu alongside Satie, Debussy and Ravel.

“Certainly one to watch" (The Guardian)
"Lotte Betts-Dean’s performance was powerful and lyrical, exhibiting a masterly control of both vocal range and colour" (Limelight Magazine)
"a mesmerising performance" (Get Into This UK)
"starkly beautiful" (Presto Classical)
