  1. Masques et bergamasques Op 112 - Gabriel Fauré
  2. Selected songs - Henri Duparc
  3. Symphony No 3 in G minor Op 36 - Louise Farrenc

A concert of works by Fauré and Duparc, with the second half of the programme dedicated to 19th century composer, pianist, teacher and pioneer of pay equality, Louise Farrenc. Easily the equal of her contemporaries Schumann and Mendelssohn, Farrenc's work has been unfairly overlooked. This is a rare opportunity to hear a live performance of her third symphony: a substantial work, dramatic yet lyrical and with an energy of spirit that merits her position be restored amongst the great composers of her generation.
