  1. Messiah HWV 56 - George Frideric Handel

Platinum Consort, described by BBC Radio 3 as a ‘vocal supergroup’, returns to St John’s Smith Square following last year's sell-out performance of Handel’s most beloved masterpiece, Messiah. Conductor Scott Inglis-Kidger uniquely combines Platinum’s top class professional consort singers and boy choristers, recreating the sound-world of the first performances in Dublin and London. With soloists stepping out from the choir and one of Britain's finest period instrument orchestras, The Hanover Band, this performance will prove to be the Messiah of the season.

"Pristine tonal balance and pure tuning … intimate music-making … sensitively sung … vigorously projected" BBC Music Magazine

"The alchemical symbol for platinum is a union of silver and gold and that is the quality of the Consort’s singing, naturally bright even in solemn context, but richly toned and weighty where required.” Choir and Organ

"This is singing that brings great pleasure.” International Record Review
