Thames Concerts is delighted to welcome back cellist and recent Royal Over-Seas League finalist Ben Tarlton to give a solo recital, the third evening performance in the Thames Concerts 2022/23 Series.
Ben gave the UK premier of Anders Hillborg’s work Duo for cello and piano in a BBC Total Immersion concert in Milton Court Concert Hall, about which The Guardian commented ‘playing with extraordinary precision and insight.’ Concert highlights include an Award-winners’ Recital at Wigmore Hall, recitals at both Buxton and Harrogate International Festivals, St James’s Church Piccadilly and St Martin-in-the-Fields, concerto performances at St John’s Smith Square, West Road Concert Hall Cambridge, Dora Stoutzker Hall Cardiff, and a performance of Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time in the Barbican Hall, broadcasted on BBC Radio 3 and reviewed by The Guardian as ‘sensationally played’.
