Streatham Choral was founded in 1921, and so 2021/22 is our centennial season. To celebrate 100 years of choral music in Streatham, we will be performing one of our favourite pieces from recent concerts (Will Todd's dynamic Mass in Blue), together with pieces by composers with a local connection, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Sir Arnold Bax. Coleridge-Taylor was raised in Croydon and later became a Professor at the Crystal Palace School of Music, and Bax was born and raised in Streatham itself (Pendennis Road, to be precise!).
