This programme celebrates the Silver Jubilee of The Bold Balladiers. The group of singers, actors and instrumentalists was founded by Michael Goldthorpe in 1995 to promote live concerts of the best popular parlour, operetta and music hall pieces of the Victorian and Edwardian era. Their programmes also include lesser known music of the period.

In addition to presentations throughout mainland Britain and in London at the South Bank centre, the group has a community outreach programme for schools, hospitals, hospices, and care homes. This highly successful programme has been featured on BBC Radios 2 and 3. In colourful authentic costume they have performed for the general public in Festivals and for music clubs, regularly touring England, Scotland and Wales from Penzance to Shetland. In a relaxed informal atmosphere, all are encouraged to participate.
