Come and celebrate Valentine’s Day with a programme of romantic piano music by candlelight in the iconic London church of St Martin-in-the-Fields.
International prize winning pianist Dinara Klinton transports us to a world of passion and romance with Beethoven’s Pathétique and Moonlight sonatas and the lush sounds of Rachmaninov and Glinka. Starting at 7.00 pm, this 70 minute programme will allow you ample time afterwards for a romantic dinner!
And of course, whatever the theme, it’s a wonderful programme for anyone to enjoy.
Dinara Klinton (piano)
Dinara Klinton is a prize-winner of over 15 international competitions, including 3rd prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition in USA, BNDES International Piano Competition in Brazil, 2nd Prize at the International Paderewski Competition in Poland and 2nd Prize at the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano, Italy. She has appeared at many festivals including the Progetto Martha Argerich Festival in Lugano, Cheltenham Music Festival, Aldeburgh Proms and La Roque d’Antheron. Dinara has performed at the Royal Festival Hall and the Wigmore Hall in London, Berlin Philharmonic, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Tokyo Sumida Triphony Hall, and has worked with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Her debut recording Music of Chopin and Liszt was made at the age of 16. Her second album Liszt: Études d’exécution transcendante was released in 2016 with Genuin Classics. Dinara has been generously supported by the Philip Loubser Foundation and has been a City Music Foundation artist.
Born in Ukraine, Klinton started her piano lessons in the age of five. A year later, she entered the Kharkiv Special Secondary Music School. Upon graduating from the Moscow Central Music School, where she studied between 2001-2007 with Valery Pyasetsky, she went on to win her Graduate Diploma with Honors at the Moscow State Conservatory, where she worked with Eliso Virsaladze. Dinara has been awarded a Master of Performance degree at the Royal College of Music in London and has completed the Artist Diploma in Performance course under the tutelage of Dina Parakhina.
