  1. The Creation Hob XXI:2 - (Franz) Joseph Haydn

Salford Choral Society are delighted to return to live performances with Haydn's dramatic telling of the creation story. Haydn’s adventurous harmony, exceptional rhythmic and melodic inventiveness bring the narrative to life with an almost operatic vividness and power. The soloists, Rachel Abbott, Philip Clieve and Thomas D Hopkinson, represent the Archangels Gabriel, Uriel and Raphael, as well as Adam and Eve. Roderick Barrand accompanies on the piano and the concert is conducted by the Society's Music Director Tom Newall.

Parking is available at or near the church and the venue is wheelchair accessible.

Covid Safety

We are committed to providing a safe environment for our concerts, so we encourage our performers and audience to have a lateral flow test before attending our events. Ticket holders who cannot attend due to needing to self-isolate will be issued a full refund. Our programmes will be free and placed on each chair to avoid unnecessary contact. Seating will be distanced at approximately 1 metre.
