Join the Choir of Westminster Abbey for an evening of the finest choral music from the comfort of your own home.

Performing for the first time in 18 months, the Abbey Choir presents a programme of signature works from its repertoire entitled ‘Faire is the heaven: masterpieces of cathedral music’.

This exclusive performance was filmed live in the Abbey this summer in the presence of a small, socially-distanced audience. The programme takes its name from the closing anthem by William Harris and is a celebration of the richness and variety of the cathedral choral tradition, featuring works by composers including Mendelssohn, Bruckner, Brahms, Stanford, Parry and Jonathan Dove.

In purchasing tickets, viewers will be helping to support the Abbey’s Heritage Preservation Appeal, set up in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic to help protect the three key areas of greatest need: conservation, care of the Abbey Collections, and the Choir and Choir School.

The concert will be available to watch online until 10.00pm (BST), Sunday 24th October 2021.

The Choir of Westminster Abbey is renowned worldwide as one of the finest ensembles of its type, its repertoire extending from plainsong and Renaissance polyphony to twentieth-century masterpieces and new commissions. In addition to singing the daily services, as it has done since the fourteenth century, the Choir plays a central role in the many royal and state occasions which are held in the Abbey, as well as reaching a wider audience through its programme of broadcasts, recordings and international tours.
