You may not know her by name but you would have most definitely heard her music hundreds of times. Top 10 Billboard and award-winning artist Helen Jane Long has established herself as one of the most popular female pianist and composers of all time. She is the first billion-streaming British female pianist and composer in the world, who is providing a much-appreciated bridge between contemporary and so called 'classical music'.

She has written extensively for film and television writing memorable music for some of the world’s most lucrative brands including British Airway’s multi-million-pound campaign, ‘To Fly, To Serve’ ('Aviators') released on her Intervention album). Her music enjoys major synch licensing all over the world. This is not surprising given Helen has worked closely with prestigious composers including the late Jerry Goldsmith, Ron Goodwin and Howard Shore, when he was composing and recording his Academy Award-winning soundtrack for the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Many of her fans are enjoying classical music for the first time through her piano and string melodies, whilst traditionalists delight in her modern take on this genre. Her music captivates and charms listeners and is recognized for stirring spirits, providing comfort and igniting inspiration. Born and raised in the South-East England, Helen was playing piano by ear aged four. Her ability to recreate the sound she heard quickly became one of the cornerstones of her composing career, as she taught herself to play many instruments in quick succession.

In 2006, three days after sending in a demo to Warner music, she signed a record deal with WCJ and released her first album 'Porcelain' (2007). It went on to critical acclaim on major radio stations worldwide and countless requests for live shows were the catalyst for bringing Helen out of hiding and kick starting her international touring career. “Now I wonder why I avoided it for so long, it’s the one thing that connects me to my audience and I love it!”

Between 2008-2018 Helen has released a further 6 albums as well as continuing to write for film and regularly tour America to sell-out shows. In 2015 Helen wrote two feature scores for award winning American cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg’s (‘Forest’ and ‘Flowers’) In 2016 Helen released and toured the USA with her album ‘Identity’ which went on to win 'Best Album of the year' in the New Orleans, Zone Reporter Awards. In the same year, Helen created and produced her first music video 'When Angels Rise' which won five major international awards including 'Best Inspirational Music Video' in the New York Film Awards 2017.

2018 Helen returned from Sundance / Slamdance Film Festival in Salt Lake City after her latest film score project 'Pick of the Litter' with director and producer Dana Nachman (Batkid, Warner Brothers) recorded at Abbey Road Studios headlined the event and was sold to IFC Films after a 48-hour bidding war erupted between keen distributors.
