  1. 5 Mystical Songs - Ralph Vaughan Williams
  2. Te Deum - John Rutter
  3. Greater love hath no man - John Ireland
  4. Songs of the Fleet Op 117 - Sir Charles Villiers Stanford

This rich programme centres around a collection of poems set to music by Stanford, Songs of the Fleet, first performed in 1910. We accompany this with works by two of Stanford’s contemporaries, and former pupils; Vaughan Williams’s Mystical Songs and Ireland’s Greater love hath no man. Rutter’s Te Deum, written almost 80 years later, brings a more current flavour to this programme. Expect a wide range of moods, from the reflective to the triumphant.

Please note: given the seating arrangements at St Peter’s, we are unable to allocate specific seats to prepaid tickets. Therefore, to ensure a seat and a non-restricted view, please arrive in good time before the concert.
