Celebrated pianist Nicholas McCarthy has inspired many around the world with his sheer determination and spirit in achieving a prolific concert career despite being born with only one hand. His historic graduation from the Royal College of Music in 2012 made press headlines worldwide with him being the first ever one-handed pianist to graduate in their 130 year history.

This concert tour will focus on his favorite composers Bach and Rachmaninoff representing the best exponents of the baroque and romantic period.

The haunting beauty and poignancy of Bach and Rachmaninoff’s music will be performed in the impressive settings. Each piece will be introduced giving humorous and interesting insights. Including Bach’s monumental Chaconne in D minor and the delicate pastoral setting of ‘Sheep may safely graze’ along with Nicholas’s own exciting arrangement of Rachmaninov’s blazingly virtuosic Prelude in G minor Opus 23 No 5.

Nicholas has toured the U.K and all over the world including China, Europe, Istanbul, Japan, South Korea the US and South Africa. He is also a popular motivational speaker and presenter.
