From London to Venice

Julia Doyle has performed all over the world and specialises in baroque repertoire. Together with the famous English lutenist and theorbo player Matthew Wadsworth they present an intimate recital of songs for voice and lute from Dowland and Purcell to Monteverdi, Merula and Strozzi and others in between. Matthew Wadsworth enthralled us when he played at the Bunyan Meeting in January 2015.

"(Julia) …radiant, intelligent and wholly engaging…" Guardian
Matthew Wadsworth says "...going from the guitar to the lute was like going from a lake to an ocean!…The lute chose me. The feeling was just too strong…"
