Join renowned London Chamber choir Vasari Singers under their conductor Jeremy Backhouse for a heavenly summer's evening of glorious a cappella music. The starting point of this concert are the words from the Latin Mass Heaven and Earth are full of Thy Glory and the music is a perfect mixture of sacred and secular. The Sanctus and Benedictus from Frank Martin's glorious Mass for double choir opne this celestial programme followed by further visions of Heaven Lux aurumque and Faire is the Heaven by Whitacre and Harris.

The centrepiece of the concert is Hubert Parry's six intensely personal Songs of Farewell, a piece which Vasari Singers has recorded and performed many times to critical accialm. The second half showcases Vasari's trademark versatility as the programme switches to secular repertoire - earthly visions of hevenliness: of peaceful evenings and night skies with music by Kodaly, Saint-Saëns and a range of witty arrangements of Broadway numbers.
