Naomi Atherton is another of Ensemble 360’s BBC Young Musician of the Year Section Final Winners. She has also returned to the competition as a Brass Final judge. Naomi is Principal Horn of the Northern Chamber Orchestra and Manchester Camerata with which she has a leading role in their community work specialising in working with people living with dementia.

In this concert, Naomi pays tribute to the pioneering horn player Giovanni Punto. Acclaimed as a virtuoso of the highest order, he composed engaging pieces that displayed his considerable talents and outstanding technique. He also inspired many composers, including Beethoven, who wrote his Horn Sonata for them to play together.
