From the time of Henry VIII through to the reign of William and Mary, many of England's Queens have been associated with Greenwich. This programme explores the music that might have been heard in their various courts, starting with Henry's first two wives: Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn, both residents of the Palace of Placentia in Greenwich. Elizabeth lived there for some years; Anne of Denmark commissioned Inigo Jones to build the Queens House (which still stands today) but it was finally completed for Henrietta Maria. The original palace was demolished in 1694; to be replaced by a Hospital for Seamen instigated by Mary II towards the end of the Stuart era - which became the Old Royal Naval College.

The music spans a range of styles; with pieces from songbooks associated with Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, lute songs which had their peak of popularity during the times of Elizabeth and Anne, and early English Baroque songs from the periods of Henrietta Maria and Mary II.

There is a retiring collection for the church.
