With some artists, the name is enough, and Sir Bryn Terfel needs no introduction. Whether he’s singing Wotan, Falstaff or a devastatingly human Hans Sachs, he’s a legend of the opera stage – but his charisma, his warmth and his glorious voice light up everything he sings, from Broadway showstoppers to the folk songs of his native Wales. No question, his Saffron Hall debut should be a very big night indeed.

Programme to include a selection of English and Welsh song, Lieder and opera arias by composers including Ireland, Vaughan Williams, WS Gwynne Williams, Schumann and Schubert.
