This free lunchtime recital features a varied programme from three highly talented recipients of awards from the Michael Hurd Memorial Fund.
Michael Hurd (1928-2006) was an internationally respected composer, author and broadcaster who devoted much of his time and energy to music in Petersfield and the surrounding area. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to local musical life, the Petersfield Musical Festival Committee set up the Michael Hurd Memorial Fund in 2007, with the aim of encouraging and assisting young musicians to create and perform music of all kinds.
A retiring collection will be held in aid of the fund.
The 2019 Petersfield Musical Festival runs from 15 to 23 March, with an exciting programme of concerts, and a wide range of performers and music - including choral, orchestral, traditional Greek music, solo instrumental, and jazz.
