  1. Leonore Overture No 3 Op 72 - Ludwig van Beethoven
  2. Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in A minor Op 16 - Edvard Grieg
  3. Symphony No 2 in D Op 73 - Johannes Brahms

Sparkling tunes infuse Beethoven’s much-loved Leonore Overture No 3 with Brahms's Symphony No 2 closing the concert with graceful melodies and a magnificently radiant brass finale.

The centrepiece of tonight’s programme is, without a doubt, one of the most popular works ever written for the piano – Grieg’s Piano Concerto. Its dramatic opening leads into rich lyrical melodies and passages of show-stopping virtuosity, performed by Andrew Zolinsky, one of the most distinctive musical voices of his generation.
