The opening of a new concert series: Music for an Autumn Evening! The programme commemorates the 100th anniversary of the death of Charles Hubert Parry (1848-1918) with a performance of the Songs of Farewell, one of his finest works, sung by eight fantastic professional singers and directed by Daniel Collins, a member of the internationally renowed choir The Sixteen. The first part is a celebration of 20th century choral music from the British Isles, both sacred and secular. Wine will be available! The first of four concerts in September and October: for details of the others, please see the MusicFor homepage. Come, have a great evening and support our very talented musicians at the start of this exciting venture!

The concert will have no interval, commences at 8pm, and will last approximately one hour.

MusicFor is a new concert series aimed at giving young musicians performance opportunities. It is currently based at Holy Trinity, Stroud Green, and the first series Music for an Autumn Evening consists of four concerts, each involving exceptionally talented young musicians. We have an up-and-coming string quartet comprised of award-winning musicians, a wonderful soprano who is newly graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, and a violinist who is breaking into the world's top baroque ensembles. The Artistic Director is Daniel Collins, a countertenor of The Sixteen. MusicFor concerts are listed both on the homepage and on Eventbrite.
