The Westminster Chamber Orchestra is delighted to present 'An English Idyll', featuring music by Finzi, Howells, Holst, and Britten, as well as music by Armstrong Gibbs. The orchestra has a special interest in British music and has created a varied programme including Britten's popular Simple Symphony and Finzi's exquisite Romance for Strings. Talented viola player George White, an orchestra member and former Salisbury Cathedral chorister, will perform Howells's beautiful Elegy for Viola and Strings and the ensemble will continue its exploration of lesser-known British music for strings. Armstrong Gibbs was a prolific composer of string music and the Suite for Strings will end the concert.

Please note the earlier start time of 7pm.
