  1. Messiah (Watkins Shaw Edition) HWV 56 - George Frideric Handel

The sublime, the grand, and the tender… these are the words an 18th century reviewer used to describe one of the greatest oratorios ever written. For over two hundred years ago, Messiah’s vivid portrayal of the life, death and resurrection of Christ has attracted concert-goers worldwide. Handel’s mastery of composition for solo voice, choir and orchestra culminates in a work full of exquisite arias and thrilling choruses well-loved by audiences.

The annual performance of Messiah at Royal Concerrt Hall has become for our audience an essential part of their preparation for the Christmas season - come along and see why.
