THe National Youth Choir return to the Snape Proms with music of mindfulness, mindlessness, and the places in between.

Inspired by National Youth Choirs of Great Britain's 2018 artistic theme of 'Music and the mind', the brilliant young voices of the National Youth Choir - "a young choir on blazing form" (theartsdesk) present a programme that's all about mental states. From Benjamin Britten's bounding setting of Christopher Smart's asylum poem 'Jubilate agno' ('Rejoice in the lamb') to new music receiving its first performance tonight, this is a concert that goes to the heart - and mind - of who we are.

Visitors to Snape Maltings can also see a free exhibition of visual art curated by the Created out of Mind hub at Wellcome Collection and developed in collaboration with people living with different kinds of dementias.
