  1. Serenade for 13 wind instruments in E flat Op 7 - Richard Strauss
  2. Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra in B flat K191 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  3. Langsamer Satz for strings - Anton von Webern
  4. Serenade No 1 in D Op 11 - Johannes Brahms

The Haydn Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Robin O'Neill, the Philharmonia Orchestra's principal bassoonist, will play four contrasting chamber orchestra works.

The orchestra will play two familiar heart-warming pieces - Mozart's bassoon concerto (played by Robin O'Neill) and the Brahms Serenade No 1; plus two less familiar pieces - Webern's Lansamer Satz, where the strings of the orchestra will show off their beautiful tone; and Strauss's Serenade for 13 winds, when the wind players will have their chance to shine.

So, it will be something for everyone, and an especially good concert for people who want an introduction to the varied styles that all come under the heading 'classical music'.
