Brahms's Liebeslieder Waltzes and Neue Liebeslieder Waltzes at Leighton House Museum in London. Concert on April 9th at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm).

Aimez-vous Brahms? ... one could have asked Sir Frederic Leighton. Although both gentlemen were contemporaries, they never met. Johannes Brahms was scheduled to come to London and Oxford to receive his honorary doctorate at the University, but alas never managed to step foot on British soil.

Join Rosie Lomas (soprano), Christine Jasper (mezzo-soprano), Daniel Owers (tenor), Sebastian Charlesworth (baritone), Jennifer Carter (piano) and Caroline Palmer (piano) for an intimate evening in the tradition of making house music. Brahms's famous Liebeslieder and Neue Liebeslieder Waltzes are complimented by selected Hungarian and Slavonic Dances (yes, a little bit of Dvorak is sprinkled into the programme). To round up the salon evening, white wine and soft drinks are served in the interval (included in the ticket price).
