The Pelléas Ensemble was formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2011. Amongst their awards and prizes are the Outstanding Chamber Ensemble Award in the 2017 Royal Overseas League Competition, and the Grand Prize and Audience Prize in the St Martin-in-the-Fields Music Competition 2016. They have performed for music societies throughout Britain, impressing audiences and critics alike with the quality of their playing, and winning admiration for performing their recitals from memory, which they believe creates a more immediate and intimate connection with their audiences.

Their programme includes works written specifically for this combination of instruments, such as Debussy's sonata, Bax's Trio, and Timothy Salter's Mosaics, together with others which have been specially arranged for the Pelléas Ensemble.
