Our Lenten concert is dominated by the music of Fauré: his Requiem, the elegiac Cantique Op 11 and his Orchestral Suite illustrating the doomed love between Pelleas and Melisande. The other works are by his friends and contemporaries including the haunting Pavane by his pupil Ravel.

This concert is the first of our series of Remembrance concerts, commemorating the end of the First World War

Access for Concerts in the Cathedral is through the main doors or underground car park. The Cathedral Car Park accessed from Mount Pleasant is under the cathedral with direct access to the concert venue by lift or stairs. Limited capacity on a first come first served basis. A charge of £3 is payable on arrival.

Doors open at 7pm

Refreshments are available in the Gibberd Room in the lower porch during the interval
