A remarkably precocious musician, the Franco-Albanian pianist Marie-Ange Nguci is, at the age of 19, already pursuing a Ph D. in Piano Performance at the Paris Conservatoire and the University of Paris-Sorbonne after having completed Master’s degrees in piano performance and piano pedagogy.
In addition to a diploma in the Ondes Martenot and the Conservatoire’s post-graduate artist diploma in performance, she is currently completing a Master’s degree in Musical Analysis. A year spent at Vienna’s renowned Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst allowed her to study orchestral conducting.
A curious and thoughtful virtuoso pianist, she can already boast an extensive repertoire ranging from the classical to the contemporary. Engaged with the music of our time, she has worked directly with such composers as Thierry Escaich, Bruno Mantovani, Graciane Finzi, Alain Abbott, and Michèle Foison, to prepare performances of their works.
Her performances, as a recitalist, soloist, and chamber musician have taken her to leading concert venues and festivals in France, Germany, Great Britain and the United States. Her debut album was issued on the Mirare label in the fall of 2017.
