  1. Il Xerse - Francesco Cavalli

After their first appearance at the prestigious Grimeborn Festival at the Arcola Theatre in 2017 the Ensemble OrQuesta are now seen as an upcoming company in the UK operatic scene as stated by Tim Hochstrasse in his 4-star review to Armide for Live Theatre UK Reviews: "This ensemble is certainly one to watch, as indeed are the other operatic and symphonic enterprises for which Marcio da Silva is responsible."

Singers from all over the world apply to take part in the Ensemble OrQuesta Baroque Opera Academies. In their second edition in 2018, a new production of the opera Xerse by Cavalli using a brand new historical edition by Ensemble OrQuesta will bring you the UK premiere of the earliest known setting of the story today famous through Handel's opera.

* the opera will be performed in Italian with English surtitles.
