The programme features the first performance of Hodie, a new work dedicated to all the musicians taking part. the musical setting and English text are by David Davies, whose Carol of the Huron was premièred by the choir at last year's carol concerts.
Hodie unites elements from the Magnificat Antiphon for Vespers on Christmas Day and a tune written for a Welsh carol, with echoes of the folk ballad Scarborough Fair.
This new work was commissioned by Rachel Smith, director of Devon County Junior Choir.
