An army of 200+ voices will descend on St David’s (Saturday 7 October) when St David’s Cathedral hosts a grand festival of voices.
'A Journey of World Music' will be led by the international broadcast and performance voices of Wales’ famous Hywel Girls’ Choir and Hywel Boy Singers – the globetrotting young voices with broadcasts spanning 120 countries and international performances in leading concert halls spanning Russia, USA, Poland, Czech Republic, Holland, Luxembourg, Romania, Bulgaria, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Germany and Austria.
The grand night of song will also feature the massed voices of the exciting Angelicus Celtis (as seen on ITV's Britain's Got Talent), Llanelli Choral Society and Haverfordwest Male Choir and led by the renowned musical baton of conductor John Hywel Williams, organist Huw Tregelles Williams, pianist Jane Jewell, orchestral percussionist Gareth Hamlin and friends.

The performance will take audiences on a wonderful rollercoaster of music and song with heart stirring favourites spanning sacred, world cinema, musical theatre, the world of opera and great classics. Sacred moments will include Hallelujah Chorus, Ave Maria, Zadok The Priest, Ceremony of Carols, Stabat Mater, Holy City and Karl Jenkins’ Benedictus. Music from world cinema and theatre will include Climb Ev’ry Mountain, I Could Have Danced All Night, Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables and You’ll Never Walk Alone. Music from World Opera will include Nessun Dorma, O Fortuna, Barcarolle, Aida’s Grand March, Anvil Chorus, Chorus of the Hebrew Salves to name but a few.
