  2. Sea Pictures Op 37 - Sir Edward Elgar
  3. Symphony No 8 in G Op 88 - Antonín Dvorák

Mozart’s much-loved Symphony No 31, ‘Paris’ is followed by Elgar’s intensely beautiful song cycle Sea Pictures, performed by former BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, mezzo-soprano Kathryn Rudge. Dvorák’s 8th Symphony closes the evening on a joyful note. Conductor Ben Gernon, former Dudamel Fellow with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, makes his debut with the Orchestra of Opera North.
