The Eastern Orthodox Churches are associated with a wealth of choral music dating back to the 16th century. Tenebrae are one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles, renowned for their passion and precision. Twice securing the award for Best Choral Performance in the BBC Music Magazine Awards, Russian choral music has been a feature of their concert performances since the ensemble’s inception.

In their 15th anniversary year don’t miss this opportunity to experience Tenebrae’s interpretation of the celebrated sacred music of Rachmaninov, Glinka and Tchaikovsky, coupled with little-known gems rarely heard outside Russia.

Duration: 2 hours

Signum’s current roster includes many excellent ensembles but the choral jewel in the crown is surely Tenebrae – Nigel Short’s outstanding chamber choir. Gramophone Magazine
