A five part setting of In nomine Domini by John Taverner with the plain chant tune in the alto inspired many 16th century English composers such as William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons and Christopher Tye to write five part instrumental versions of the In nomine with the plainchant in the alto. Fretwork brings a wealth of experience to their exploration of these works.

“…. beautifully transparent and feeling lines, often allowing us to enter a suspended, ethereal world that we had seldom realized before.” Geoffrey Newman, Vancouver
