  1. Symphony No 2 in C minor, 'Resurrection' - Gustav Mahler

We are excited to welcome the Bruckner Linz Orchestra to The Hexagon to perform Mahler’s emotionally charged Symphony No 2, the ‘Resurrection’. A vast piece, even by Mahler’s standards, exploring the meaning of life, long-forgotten pleasure, the grotesque and wicked, naïve songs of a child and concluding after a dramatic climax with a hymn of Resurrection. A work of genius, musically heart-wrenching throughout.

If you’ve not experienced a live performance of this tremendous work, you simply must. If you have, you’ll know why you need to see and hear it all again. We look forward to welcoming you.

The history of the Bruckner Linz Orchestra spans 200 years of tradition and excellence. In the last three decades, it has won an international reputation as one of the leading orchestras of Central Europe.
