The Brandenburg Choral Festival of London is delighted to present this very special concert celebrating the 40th anniversary of one of the finest boys' choirs in the county, the Bromley Boy Singers. After singing well known and rarer works by Haydn, Tchaikovsky, Elgar and Mendelssohn, the boys will perform James Lark's The Broadside Ballads, commissioned by the choir for its anniversary year. This exciting work draws on the texts of historical pamphlets but with very current themes, of immigration, poverty and censorship, and showcases each section of the choir whilst exploring what it's like to be a boy in London, past and present. To finish, they sing three movements of Bob Chilcott's witty settings of Aesop's Fables.

Join us for this entertaining and varied evening in the lovely acoustic of St Katharine Cree.

A combined ticket offer is available for this concert and the later concert at St Katharine's. Please contact the box office for details.
