  1. Karuna - an oratorio for our time - Andrew Wilson-Dickson

Karuna (2014) is an 80-minute oratorio for choir, three soloists and orchestra. This is its first London performance.

Through texts which draw on the traditions of the great world religions, and through authors of recent times, the piece emphasises the urgent need for solutions to racism, xenophobia and religious division. Those who speak out through the music include WH Auden, John Donne, Albert Einstein, Thich Nhat Hanh, Rumi, Hedd Wyn and Desmond Tutu.
