Winners of the Mikhasoff Trust Pianist/Composer Commissioning Project Award in January 2018, acclaimed British pianist, Richard Uttley and composer and pianist Kate Whitley present a new work to begin our final After Hours concert of the season. This is followed by Eric Satie’s score for René Clair’s classic 1924 surrealist film, Entr'acte, performed here in Darius Milhaud’s arrangement for piano duet, with added prepared piano elements inspired by the ideas of John Cage and Alexei Lubimov, together with a screening of the film.
This event follows an earlier concert with the CBSO.
Start time may vary depending on the finishing time of the earlier concert.
Free for CBSO concert ticket holders.
