Enjoy an evening of Handel’s classics from unique baroque group Red Priest, who will take you on a whirlwind tour through the music of George Frideric Handel. Their programme includes sonatas, chaconnes and virtuoso variations, transcriptions both sublime and tempestuous and an audacious suite drawn from his most celebrated work, Messiah.
The baroque group Red Priest has given several hundred concerts in many of the world’s most prestigious festivals and has been the subject of hour-long TV profiles for NHK (Japan) and ITV (UK). Conquering the classical music charts, they are the only early music group in the world to have been compared in the press to the Rolling Stones, Jackson Pollock, the Marx Brothers, Spike Jones and the Cirque du Soleil.
