Liszt was only 15 when he produced his epochal 12 Etudes d’exécution transcendante in Vienna. As the title rightly claims, it is a masterpiece showcasing the transcendental virtuosity which the composer himself excelled and demonstrated. 2011 saw myriad of the études cycle performed on the stage during Liszt's bicentennial almost creating a trend for anyone who possessed sublime virtuosity to make a try.
These transcendental études certainly has been Andrey Gugnin's old horse which he made into a household name.
An opportunity not to be missed.
This is a dry run for his CD recording in beginning of February 2018.
