It is a truth universally acknowledged that the Mozart Requiem is one of the masterpieces of choral music. The mysterious circumstances of its creation are still debated by scholars, but its overwhelming beauty and unforgettable impact on the listener are beyond dispute. The Concordia Chamber Choir is proud to be performing it as the centrepiece of our autumn concert to which we welcome The South Circular Orchestra.
Also on the programme are three exquisite Rossini motets while our orchestral guests will be playing one of Bach's stirring Brandenburg Concertos, which are among the finest works of the Baroque.
Conducting the Concordia is acclaimed English choral animateur Dan Ludford-Thomas, who also conducts Lewisham Choral Society and the Hackney Singers in addition to teaching singing at both Eton and Dulwich College.
We look forward to welcoming you to a magnificent evening of music. Don't missi t!
